Many famous men have sailed around the world, but not every one of us understands the lifestyle of these adventurers. Christopher Columbus was a fearless seafarer who traveled and was ready to risk his life to enjoy the sweet taste of new discoveries, reaching far and wide geographic

locations now important to us all.

Lessons and treasures from travel gave Columbus the courage to face the challenges, but with the pride of Courlanders, we have come to call our unique hotel building the name of this world-renowned seafarer.

The old part of the building, reflecting late Art Nouveau and National Romantic style, was built in 1914, following the project of the leading architect of Liepaja Paul Max Berchi as a rental house, the author of the new building is architect Diana Zalane, and this part of the building was built in 2006 for the hotel.
